Der Angriff der Trump-Regierung vom Januar 2025 auf Programme für mehr Diversität, Gleichheit und Fairness sowie Inklusion (DEI) ist durch ein Urteil des US Supreme Court von 2023 eingeleitet und unterstützt worden. Das Urteil untersagte Zulassungsverfahren von Elite-Universitäten (wie Harvard), in denen People of color im Sinne der affirmative action ein Bonus gegeben und das Ziel der Inklusion verfolgt wurde. Der Artikel zeigt, wie der Gleichheitsgrundsatz selbst, die Equal Protection Clause, sowie die einschränkende Interpretation der Richtermehrheit die Versuche ausbremsen, mehr Chancengleichheit für Angehörige von benachteiligten Minderheiten zu erreichen.
